Frequently asked questions.

How does social work and firearms work together? Isn’t that an oxymoron?

t’s actually not because the two fields compliment one another and are very layered. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker for the state of Texas and a Women’s Firearms Instructor. Despite horrible inaccurate stereotypes, social workers are not limited to Family and Children Services. Even in those positions, they are case workers, not social workers. Okay, back on topic, I operate in the space where the two professions overlap. I created a space where my Sistahs can learn to protect themselves with and without a firearm by developing and maintaining efficient boundaries.

I’m not sure which training to take, can you help me?

Send an email, call or text with your concerns, and I will point you in the right direction based on your goals. Contact information located on the “Contact Us” tab.

Where are you located?

I reside in Dallas, Texas but classroom lectures are held in Arlington, Texas. Range days are held in Ferris, Texas. I’m available to travel to your city, or a city near you. Contact me for additional details.

What if I don’t own a firearm?

No worries, we provide firearm rentals. Rental includes your choice of 9mm firearm (up to 4), ammo, hearing protection, and eye protection.

When is your next class?

Training dates are located in the drop down boxes for the particular training. Private sessions are around your schedule, at your convenience. For trainings outside of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, stay tuned to the “Travel” tab.

Can men attend your training?

Private sessions, yes. Group sessions, NO!!! I, a Black woman, created this space for us.

I’d like to sign someone up for your training, what’s my next step?

Pay for the course you’d like them to take, leave their number in the contact info spot, and I’ll call them to schedule the training around their schedule.

How can I order apparel?

Click here to order tee shirts, hoodies, or tanks. Earrings, patches, and keychains are located in the store.

I want to purchase my wife/sister/daughter a firearm, how do I know what to get her?

Nobody knows the best firearm for an individual but that individual, however, I can assist in surprising her. This would involve setting a budget and walking her through the process of choosing a firearm that’s comfortable and fits her everyday lifestyle. Pay for a firearm consult, I’ll call you to schedule the consult, and will be there to walk her through the process.

What is the refund policy?

There isn’t one. No call, no show equals a forfeiture of funds and training slot. However, if given sufficient notice before scheduled training time, we do allow you to reschedule based on calendar availability.

*If rescheduling, 1 to 2 hours notice is required or your session is lost.

*If running late, lost class time will not be made up - applies to group sessions.

*If running more than 15 minutes late, please communicate such BEFORE scheduled training time, or session is lost.

What’s the difference between training and getting my Texas License to Carry (LTC)?

Training is an ongoing progressive learning process; don’t think of it as a one and done. The Texas License to Carry (no longer called Concealed Handgun License) only teaches you Texas gun laws; your legal do’s and don'ts. Click here to sign up for our Texas LTC Course.
